Students rally for same sex marriage

“What do we want? Equality. When do we want it? Now!” Students gathered last Wednesday, April 28 in the amphitheater to protest New York State’s ban on same sex marriage. Organized as a “Day of Action,” hundreds of students gathered outside while organizers passed around petitions and handed out white ribbons. Full story

Fredonia loses Apple product sales

If you are looking to go into the campus bookstore for an iPod, then you are going to be out of luck. Last month, Fredonia pulled all Apple products from campus store shelves as a result of a change in Apple Inc, college agreements. Christopher Zenns, SUNY Fredonia’s director of retail operations, said the campus was no longer able to comply with Apple’s increasingly strict reseller policy.

Fred Fest turns thirty

The thirtieth anniversary of Fred Fest, brought to the campus by Spectrum Entertainment, took place in and around Steele hall this past Saturday, May 1. The organization this year was different than in years previous with just three local bands setting the stage for the headliner, Brand New.

Blue Devils split Fred Fest twin-bill against Hawks

For freshman Dillon Lowe, Saturday’s double-header against the New Paltz Hawks was one that he will remember for a long time. In the span of the two games, Lowe hit his first collegiate home-run, hit the game-tying double, and worked out a game-winning walk.
