New Vice President selection passed
Mike Baker was voted in as the new Vice President by a vote of 22 yes and 1 abstention. Baker said that he was very excited to become the Student Association (SA) vice president. He said he would like to meet with the former Vice President Katie Boyle to pick up where she left off. Baker said he also plans to build off the Fall and Spring Summits, work on e-board positions and insure that SA executives have better communication with Student Association groups.

Parliamentarian elected
Axel Martinez was elected Parliamentarian of the General Assembly (GA). The position of Parliamentarian was created to insure that the GA follows the “Robert’s Rules of Order,” which is the body of rules used by most major organizations to govern conduct at meetings. Martinez said that as Parliamentarian, he will serve more as an advisor to the Speaker of the Assembly and ensure that the rules are being enforced if someone is out of order. Martinez was passed unanimously.

Green Initiative Fund update
Adam Malchoff, chair of the Environmental Committee, will meet with Vice President for Administration Tracy Bennett to discuss the future of the Green Initiative Fund. The project has run into funding issues and will be pushed back until the fall semester. Malchoff vows that the project will be finished and will not lose steam going into next semester.

State of the Assembly
President Kevin Wysocki gave the State of the Association to the GA. He started off by thanking graduating students and wished them all luck for the future. He discussed some positive gains SA accomplished this semester, including putting up the new SA Web site which won an award for best SUNY Web site. Wysocki also mentioned opening up more library space for dead week as an accomplishment for the year and thanked SA for getting the resolution passed. He spoke on the transition to a new mailing system from Microsoft to Google. Wysocki finished by saying he would not favor any stipend increase for SA executives.
