Jack’s Mannequin rocks Steele Hall

Vendors, live entertainment, an assortment of fun activities and parties, Fred Fest weekend had it all. Wrapping up the weekend of festivities, Jack's Mannequin carried the night out for the 2011 Fred Fest. Andrew McMahon's stardom in the music industry began when Something Corporate took off with their two full length albums, Leaving Through Your Window and North.

Fredonia Dance Ensemble steps it up to end the year

Dim lights, ruby curtains and a hushed crowd awaited the performance of the Theatre and Dance Department. The Walter Gloor Mainstage Series presented The Fredonia Dance Ensemble in Concert on Friday, April 29 in Marvel Theater.   Parents, students, friends and residents of Fredonia flooded in, tickets in hand.

“God” smashes the fourth wall

"God," a one act play originally by Woody Allen was presented by the Performing Arts Company (PAC) this past week. Traditionally PAC puts on two plays per semester, one traditional and one experimental, "God" was neither of those but a special project that was included in their chosen selections last spring for this year.

Senior art show creates waves of change

High heels and the smell of leather shoes crowded the gallery entrance as visitors stood busily holding plates of brightly colored fruit. Artists paced back and forth nervously making conversation as the gentlemen adjusted their ties; ladies pressed the wrinkles from their skirts and dresses.

Senior art students showcase work for charity

Review Traditionally with the Department of Visual Arts and New Media, there are two senior shows at the end of the spring semester. These shows are the culmination of four years of hard work for students graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree and a select few students with Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees.
